Trailblazers Run at James Earley

WESTFIELD - Vassar compiled 75 points by placing five runners in the top 23 to take first place in the 15th Annual James Early cross country invitational held Saturday, Oct. 9, at Stanley Park.
Westfield State placed second as the Owls totaled 122 points in the 26-team meet. Trinity College finished third with 126 points followed by Westfield's MASCAC rival Bridgewater State with 129 points.

There was a large field of 288 runners in the annual invitational, with SUNY Delhi freshman Chris Burnett crossing the finish line first with a time of 25:40.48 on the 8K layout. 

MCLA finished twenty-third in both the men's and women's races.

Anthony Cancilla was the top MCLA runner finishing 145th.  Keith Desilets was next for the MCLA men with a time of 30:39.52. and Nicholas Raby was nine seconds behind with a time of 30.48.39. Former MCLA runner Nick Curelop ('10) ran unattached and finished with a time of 30.12.95.

The Trailblazers will run next Saturday at Williams College at 12:00 PM.
