MCLA Snaps Losing Streak Wins Game Two
MCLA ended an eight game losing streak with an 8-3 victory over North Park in game two of their double-header in Florida today.

The Trailblazers lost game one 10-0 to College of Wooster. The Trailblazers surrendered nine first-inning runs as Wooster banged out five hits and was the beneficiary of three Trailblazer errors. MCLA starter Ainsley MacDonald also hit a batter in the inning. Wooster rolled from there as MCLA had just one hit in the contest.
Sam Barbarotta had the lone hit. MacDonald took the loss, pitching four innings and allowing five earned runs on eight hits. MacDonald did hold Wooster to just one run over the final three innings.
MacDonald also pitched game two throwing a complete game allowing just four hits and two earned runs.
MCLA turned the tables in game two scoring six runs in the first inning. MCLA loaded the bases with one out on a Serina Stimpson walk and singles by Kayla Koumjian and Angelica Perfido. They scored one run on an error and another on a walk, but Kendra Hinkell did the damage with a grand slam with one out to bust the game open.
MCLA cruised from there, winning 8-3. MacDonald upped her record to 2-5 on the season. Koumjian and Perfido each had three hits as MCLA banged out ten total. Erin Kelley was 1-3 with an rbi walk.
MCLA concludes their trip tomorrow starting at 9:00am versus St. Joseph's College of Maine.
