MCLA Wraps up Florida Trip

MCLA lost game one 11-2 to St. Joseph's College of Maine. MCLA fell behind 1-0 in the first inning, but struck for two in the top of the second inning. Sam Barbarotta led off with a triple and scored on a Kaitland Hager infield single. Hager advanced to third via a pair of back to back walks and then scored on a wild pitch.
The lead would be short lived though as St. Joe's would plate three in the bottom of the second to push ahead 4-2. St. Joe's would add three more in the third and four in the fourth.
MCLA would threaten in the fourth. Hager would reach with one out and Marissa Mendetta would walk an out later, putting two on with two out. Serina Stimpson would strike out to end the threat.
Barbarotta took the loss allowing eight runs. Kayla Koumjian had one of the three MCLA hits on the afternoon.
The Trailblazers lost the second game as they were shutout 3-0 by Mt. Saint Mary's (NY).
MCLA finished the trip down south 2-10 and returns to the field on March 25th at Bay Path College.
