Hannah Gilbert Claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honors
MCLA’s Hannah Gilbert has been selected as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA's Hannah Gilbert (Colrain, MA) has been selected as the MASCAC Softball Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league earlier today.
The first-year pitcher and infielder from Colrain, MA batted .438 (7-for-16) with four doubles, six walks, a stolen base, eight runs scored, and ten RBI while posting a .565 on-base percentage along with a .688 slugging percentage, leading MCLA to a 6-0 week. Also went 2-0 from the circle, pitching 12 innings while striking out eleven batters.
Gilbert and MCLA are back in action this Tuesday when they host New England College at Shewcraft Field for a non-conference matchup with the Pilgrims. First pitch will be at 2 p.m.
