Dobrovolc earns second MASCAC player of the week honor
MCLA junior guard Alie Dobrovolc was named the MASCAC Womens basketball player of the week after averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Trailblazers. It is the second time this season Dobrovolc earned the honor.
North Adams, MA- MCLA junior guard Alie Dobrovolc was named the MASCAC Womens basketball player of the week after averaging 22 points and 12 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Trailblazers. It is the second time this season Dobrovolc earned the honor, joining teammate Jen Wehner who also has two awards.
Dobrovolc began the week with a solid effort against Salem State. She posted a double double in scoring 16 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in a much needed MASCAC win. She would follow that up with a career high effort of 28 points, adding nine rebounds in a non league win at Sage.
Dobrovolc is currently third in the conference in scoring, while 7th in rebounding.
Dobrovolc and the Trailblazers have a busy week on tap as they will play all conference foes. They open up the week on Tuesday at Westfield before hosting Framingham (Thursday) and Fitchburg (Saturday).
