Wehner claims fifth MASCAC honor of the season

Buzzards Bay, MA- MCLA junior continues to rewrite the Trailblazer record books as she was named the MASCAC player of the week for the fifth time this season. She averaged 22 points and an amazing 24.5 rebounds on the week, helping lead MCLA to its best regular season in school history.
Wehner set a school record with 28 rebounds against Bridgewater State to accompany a 20 point performance. She also collected 24 points and 21 caroms in a road win over Fitchburg State on Tuesday. Her week also included her fourth 20 point-20 rebound games of the season.
Wehner was instrumental in leading MCLA to its best regular season in school history with a record of 16-8. She also helped the Trailblazers to their best ever MASCAC regular season finish as MCLA went 8-4 this season, earning the third seed as they defend their 2010 tournament title.
Wehner and the Trailblazers will take on sixth seeded Framingham State on Tuesday night at 7pm in the Amsler Campus Center.
