MCLA Women to travel to Bridgewater for MASCAC semifinal round
MCLA continues its quest to defend their 2010 tournament championship as they will travel to Bridgewater on Thursday night to face the second seeded Bears at 7pm.
North Adams, MA- MCLA continues its quest to defend their 2010 tournament championship as they will travel to Bridgewater on Thursday night to face the second seeded Bears at 7pm. The two teams split the season series with each team winning on its home court.
MCLA, who entered the tournament as the third seed, is led by 2011 MASCAC player of the Year Jen Wehner. Wehner leads the conference in scoring, rebounding, blocks, and field goal percentage. She has 20 double doubles on the season while being named player of the week on five occasions. Fellow junior Alie Dobrovolc was also a first team all conference selection and is averaging in double figures.
Bridgewater is led by Brittney Chappron, who just five days ago burned the Trailblazers on her way to a 31 point performance. Chappron was a first team all conference selection. She was joined on the all conference team alongside teammates Corey Cuddihy and Shelley DePina.
The winner will move on to face the winner of the other semifinal featuring top seeded Westfield State and fourth seeded Worcester State.
