Women’s Basketball Poised to Begin ’23-’24 Campaign This Week at VTSU-Lyndon

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— The MCLA Women's Basketball team will kick-off its 25-game 2023-2024 campaign Wednesday evening at Vermont State University-Lyndon. This year's schedule features thirteen nonleague opponents and twelve MASCAC contests against the six other league member schools.

MCLA's first semester is road heavy with eight of their first eleven games away from the friendly confines of the Amsler Campus Center. Opening with three trips to Lyndon, Lasell University on November 11^th and Nichols College on November 15^th, the Trailblazers return to North Adams for their home opener against Lesley University on November 18^th.

MCLA returns to the road for five of their next six visiting Cobleskill (November 20^th), Williams (November 26^th), Mount Holyoke (December 2^nd), Johnson & Wales (December 6^th) and Wentworth (December 9^th) with Anna Maria sandwiched in at home on December 4^th. The Trailblazers final game before the holiday break will also be at home on December 11^th against Saint Joseph College (CT).

The Trailblazers squeeze in a game on January 2^nd against Dean College prior to MASCAC play which starts at home against Fitchburg State on January 3^rd. MCLA travels to Westfield State on January 6^th and Bridgewater State on January 10^th before returning home for a pair of conference matchups with Salem State on January 13^th and Framingham State on January 17^th.

MCLA's final nonconference game will take place at Elms College on January 18^th prior to the Trailblazers visit to Worcester State on January 24^th marking midway point of the MASCAC schedule.

The Trailblazers visit Fitchburg State (November 27^th), Salem State (February 2^nd) and Framingham State (February 10^th) and host Westfield State (January 31^st), Bridgewater State (February 3^rd) and Worcester State (February 17^th) to wrap up the regular season.

The 2024 MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament will take place the following week.
