Women’s Basketball Poised to Begin ’23-’24 Campaign This Week at VTSU-Lyndon
MCLA will begin its 2023-2024 season at Vermont State University-Lyndon on Wednesday.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— The MCLA Women's Basketball team will kick-off its 25-game 2023-2024 campaign Wednesday evening at Vermont State University-Lyndon. This year's schedule features thirteen nonleague opponents and twelve MASCAC contests against the six other league member schools.
MCLA's first semester is road heavy with eight of their first eleven games away from the friendly confines of the Amsler Campus Center. Opening with three trips to Lyndon, Lasell University on November 11th and Nichols College on November 15th, the Trailblazers return to North Adams for their home opener against Lesley University on November 18th.
MCLA returns to the road for five of their next six visiting Cobleskill (November 20th), Williams (November 26th), Mount Holyoke (December 2nd), Johnson & Wales (December 6th) and Wentworth (December 9th) with Anna Maria sandwiched in at home on December 4th. The Trailblazers final game before the holiday break will also be at home on December 11th against Saint Joseph College (CT).
The Trailblazers squeeze in a game on January 2nd against Dean College prior to MASCAC play which starts at home against Fitchburg State on January 3rd. MCLA travels to Westfield State on January 6th and Bridgewater State on January 10th before returning home for a pair of conference matchups with Salem State on January 13th and Framingham State on January 17th.
MCLA's final nonconference game will take place at Elms College on January 18th prior to the Trailblazers visit to Worcester State on January 24th marking midway point of the MASCAC schedule.
The Trailblazers visit Fitchburg State (November 27th), Salem State (February 2nd) and Framingham State (February 10th) and host Westfield State (January 31st), Bridgewater State (February 3rd) and Worcester State (February 17th) to wrap up the regular season.
The 2024 MASCAC Women's Basketball Tournament will take place the following week.
