Women’s Basketball Drop MASCAC Opener
MCLA fell in MASCAC play this evening.
WORCESTER, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team returned to the court this evening by opening their MASCAC schedule at Worcester State University. Hailey Peabody led the Trailblazers with seven points, while Lena Waldron paced the Lancers with 13 points in the home team's 86-19 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Worcester State sprinted out to 20-4 lead through one quarter and expanded it to 50-9 at halftime.
- The Lancers had 16 different players score at least one basket, but were led by 13 points in only 16 minutes of play by Lena Waldron. Hannah Lomonaco and Lena Malymina were second on the team with eight points each.
- MCLA was paced by senior guard/forward Hailey Peabody (W. Springfield, MA) with seven points followed by six points from sophomore forward Amare Williams (Woburn, MA) and five points by sophomore guard Abigail Scialabba (Williamstown, MA).
