Women’s Basketball Drop Game to the Bears
MCLA fell to Bridgewater State in MASCAC action this afternoon.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team took to the road this afternoon, traveling to the Tinsely Center on the campus of Bridgewater State University for a clash with the MASCAC leading Bears. Hailey Peabody returned to the lineup for the Trailblazers and posted her second double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 rebounds. The Bears had three players finish in double figures, led by a game-high 15 points from Emilie von der Linden.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bears took control of the game early, outscoring MCLA 20-2 in the first quarter and then 20-7 in the second. Bridgewater State would go never trail, taking the game 74-25.
- Emilie von der Linden led all scorers with 15 points and just missed a double-double with a team-high eight rebounds while adding two blocked shots.
- Bridgewater's Sophie Bradbury and Bridgitt O'Sullivan-Van Etten each scored ten points.
- The Trailblazers were paced by ten point and 14 rebound double-double for senior guard/forward Hailey Peabody (W. Springfield, MA) who returned to the lineup after missing Wednesday game versus Westfield. This was the second double-double of the season for Peabody, having previously done so with a 14 point and 10 board showing against VTSU-Johnson on December 9th.
- Junior guard Dakota Quick (Connelly, NY) was second on the team for the second straight game, finishing the afternoon with five points off the bench. Sophomore forward Amare Williams (Woburn, MA) was close behind with four points and five rebounds while adding a blocked shot.
