Women’s Basketball Drop Game to Worcester
MCLA fell in MASCAC play this afternoon.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team returned to the Amsler Campus Center Gymnasium this evening for a MASCAC matchup with the Worcester State University Lancers. Hailey Peabody had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, but the Trailblazers couldn't overcome a balanced Worcester attack that saw 11 players in the scorers column.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Worcester took the first two quarters by scores of 25-8 and 19-10 to build a 44-18 lead at half time.
- Worcester maintained the advantage, increasing the lead in the third quarter by four more points
- The Trailblazers didn't go away though, playing the Lancers to an even 15-15 fourth quarter.
- The Lancers' Emma Quinn led all scorers with 15 points in 17 minutes off the bench. Lena Waldron and Mia Haynes pace the Worcester starters with 14 and 12 points, respectively. Waldron finished with a double-double, pulling down a team-high 10 boards.
- MCLA's senior guard/forward Hailey Peabody (W. Springfield, MA) recorded her third double-double in her last five games, scoring a team-high 17 points, while corralling a game-high 12 rebounds. Peabody added four blocked shots.
- The Trailblazers' junior guard Dakota Quick (Connelly, NY) followed up her career-high 15 point showing against Fitchburg with a 13 point afternoon against Worcester.
