Women’s Basketball Drop Game to Bridgewater State
MCLA fell in MASCAC play this evening.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Basketball team welcomed the MASCAC leading Bridgewater State to the Amsler Campus Center Gymnasium. Four Bears scored in double figures to help the conference leaders keep a clean MASCAC slate, advancing to 11-0 in conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game stayed close in the opening minutes, tied at 8-8 as the first quarter clock ran under six minutes before the Bears mounted a 16-5 run to close out the first period. The second quarter would also fall the Bridgewater way, as the team outscored MCLA 26-7, going into the half time locker room up 48-20.
- The road teams defense contained the Trailblazers in the second half, limiting the home team to nine points over the final 20 minutes.
- BSU was led by 16 points from Chloe Azoff and 15 points from Caitlyn Clark off the bench, while starters Bridgitt O'Sullivan-Van Etten (12 points) and Emilie von der Linden (10 points) also crossed the double-digit threshold. von der Linden just missed a double-double, pulling down a game-high eight rebounds.
- Sophomore guard Abigail Scialabba (Williamstown, MA) topped the Trailblazers score sheet with 10 points, followed by senior guard/forward Hailey Peabody (W. Springfield, MA).
- MCLA's junior guard Dakota Quick (Connelly, NY) tied with senior forward Ashlyn Bill (Windham, CT) for the team lead in rebounds at six each, while Bill added a pair of blocked shots.
