Bissaillion earns ECHA Rookie of the Week

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— First-year defenseman Summer Bissaillion (Blind River, ON / Sudbury Wolves) has been named the ECHA Rookie of the Week. Rivier's Brianna Parent (Saint Albans, VT / Missisquoi Valley) and Worcester State's Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA / Worcester Academy) were named the Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week, respectively.

Bissaillion picks up Rookie of the Week honors after she had a three-point weekend in the Trailblazers split with the Raiders of Rivier University. Bissaillion had a goal and an assist in Saturday's contest and then rounded out the weekend with an assist on the game-tying goal on Sunday's 3-1 win over the Raiders. Bissaillion and the Trailblazers are back in action this Friday when they travel to Worcester for the ECHA Playoff Semi-Finals at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center. The puck drops on Friday at 2:40 PM.
