Bissaillion Claims MASCAC Player of the Week Honors
MCLA’s Summer Bissaillion has been selected as the MASCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— MCLA's Summer Bissaillion has been selected as the MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the league earlier today.
The sophomore defenseman scored twice and added an assist helping the Trailblazers go 2-1 last week. Bissaillion netted a pair of goals, including a shorthanded tally and overtime winner in a 2-1 non-conference win over Hood College and added an assist in the opening game against Hood which MCLA also won, 2-1. The overtime goal was Bissaillion's second game-winner of the season.
Bissaillion claimed an Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) Rookie of the Week honors last season.
Bissaillion and MCLA are back in action this Friday as the Trailblazers welcome MASCAC rival Plymouth State to the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink for a 6pm face-off.
