Athletics names Baribault as women's lacrosse head coach
The Department of Athletics has selected Allyson Baribault to lead the MCLA Women's Lacrosse program after a nationwide search
North Adams, MASS—Laura Mooney, MCLA's director of athletics, has announced the hiring of Allyson Baribault as the school's new head women's lacrosse coach.
Baribault was selected following a nationwide search of qualified candidates. Previously, she was the head coach at Castleton University this spring.
"The department is excited to have Allyson join our Trailblazer team," Mooney said. "We are confident that her passion and drive will be instrumental in recruiting quality student-athletes to position the women's lacrosse program for future success."
Baribault takes over a lacrosse program at MCLA that is still trying to find its footing since its inaugural season in 2015. The Trailblazers will open up the 2020 season in March 6th at SUNY Purchase.
Baribault has a pair of head coaching stints in her career as she led programs at Oneonta St. and Castleton before coming to MCLA. She also has three years as an assistant coach under her belt as she served her alma mater, Plymouth State, and also Post University and Wesleyan (CT).
Collegiately, she competed at Plymouth State, where she was a team captain her final two seasons.
