MCLA's Prickett, Tietgens named to Scholar NSCAA All-East region team

Two MCLA Women's Soccer players have been named as honorable mention Scholars on the NSCAA All East Region Team.  Senior Jade Prickett and junior Jess Tietgens were named when the NSCAA announced the teams on Thursday. 

The NSCAA combines athletes from Division II and III for the the teams.  To be considered for the team, athletes must have a 3.3 GPA or higher.   They were the only athletes named from the MASCAC during the 2009 season.

Prickett, a senior from Westhampton, MA, was a first team All MASCAC selection as she was an integral part of a program that set a school record for victories in a season with 15.  Tietgens, a junior from Stamford, VT, continues to rewrite the record books as she once again broke school records for goals, points, as well as many career records as a Trailblazer.  She was also an All Region selection by both the ECAC and NSCAA. 

The 2009 team reached the MASCAC finals and lost in the ECAC Semifinals, both program firsts.
