Wehner named MASCAC Player of the week
MCLA Goalie Jen Wehner has been named the MASCAC player of the week. Wehner is the second consecutive Trailblazer to earn the honor as she led MCLA to a pair of ties on the week.
Buzzards Bay, MA- MCLA Goalie Jen Wehner has been named the MASCAC player of the week. Wehner is the second consecutive Trailblazer to earn the honor as she led MCLA to a pair of ties on the week. Wehner follows teammate Jess Tietgens, who earned the honor last week.
Wehner posted a 0.81 goals against average as well as a 0.882 save percentage on the week. She stopped seven shots in a 2-2 draw at Rensselaer, while collecting eight saves in a key 0-0 tie at Westfield.
Wehner currently leads the conference in Goals against Average, save percentage, and shutouts. She has six shutouts on her own, while collecting a pair of team shutouts.
Wehner and the Trailblazers are currently leading the MASCAC with one league game remaining. A win over Bridgewater State on Saturday would earn MCLA the regular season championship.
MCLA will host Sage College on Wednesday at Shewcraft Field.
