Tietgens selected for NEWISA Senior Bowl
MCLA senior Jess Tietgens was selected to compete in the NEWISA Senior Bowl this Saturday at Merrimack College. Tietgens, the MASCAC player of the year, was one of twenty players selected to the all star game.
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior Jess Tietgens was selected to compete in the NEWISA Senior Bowl this Saturday at Merrimack College. Tietgens, the MASCAC player of the year, was one of twenty players selected to the all star game.
The New England Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) senior bowl pits seniors from different divisions against one another. Tietgens was one of only two MASCAC players selected to compete.
Tietgens wrapped up a remarkable career at MCLA as the all time leading scoring. She totaled an amazing 88 goals and 199 points over her four year run. Tietgens was at her best in the postseason, totaling 8 goals in only seven games.
She led MCLA to their first conference championship since 1994 as the Trailblazers went 10-2-6 while advancing to the ECAC semifinal round.
