Women's Soccer tabbed sixth in MASCAC Preseason Poll
The MCLA Women's Soccer team will rely on junior forward Sarah Lieneck to provide an offensive spark this season. The Trailblazers were tabbed sixth in the MASCAC preseason poll.
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Soccer team was tabbed to finish sixth in the recently released MASCAC preseason poll. The poll is a result of votes tabulated by the respective conference coaches.
Westfield State edged Worcester State as the preseason favorite to win the league.
MCLA, led by head coach Deb Raber, will look to improve upon a 6-10-1 mark last season, while posting a 2-4-1 MASCAC record. The Trailblazers return a host of experienced players in 2012, including a pair of key returners who were injured a year ago.
The Trailblazers will open play on September 1st when they travel to UMass-Boston. MCLA will open MASCAC play on the 15th when they host Salem State.
