Women’s Soccer Drops MASCAC Opener to Framingham State, 2-0
Hailey Ring scored twice to lead Framingham State past MCLA today in MASCAC Women’s Soccer action.
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—The MCLA Women's Hockey Team opened their MASCAC slate of conference games this afternoon when they traveled out to Framingham State for a matchup with the Rams. First-year Trailblazer goalkeeper Mallory Amirian recorded her second 20-save appearance in her last three games, but the visitors got two goals from Hailey Ring to pick up their first win of the season.

- Series History: Framingham State leads the all-time series between the teams 24-12-2. This includes a Rams 2-0 victory in their last meeting on September 15, 2023, at MCLA and a 1-0 Rams win in the first-ever meeting on September 27, 1986, at MCLA.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Framingham's Melissa Romeiro started the scoring, picking up an unassisted tally in the 39th minute. The goal was the first of the Brazilian sophomore's career.
- The teams would play to a stalemate for the remainder of the first half, allowing the Rams to hold on to their one-goal lead. The second half was the Hailey Ring story for Framingham as the first-year forward picked up a pair of goals, assisted by Alicia Tocman. The first goal came in the 59th minute and the second was scored in the 89th minute.
- Trailblazers' first-year keeper Mallory Amirian (Haverhill, MA) picked up her third double-digit save performance in as many games and her second 20-save appearance in her last three games but still saw her record fall to 0-6-0.
- The Rams junior goalkeeper Madison Magone stopped all four shots she faced to pick up her first win of the season, moving her record to 1-5-0.
UP NEXT:
On Wednesday, MCLA will be back in action when they travel to Bay Path University for a non-conference matchup with the Wildcats at Ryan Field. The teams will take the pitch for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
