Tennis drops non conference tilt with Western New England 8-1
The duo of Danielle Wiencek and Rebecca Waterhouse earned the lone point for MCLA in a loss to Western New England
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Tennis team couldn't keep pace with visiting Western New England dropping an 8-1 decision to the Bears. The loss drops MCLA to 1-3 on the season while WNE improves to 2-1.
WNE took two of the three doubles matches to take an early 2-1 edge. The top duo of Linda Mustafe and Joeanna Glantz won in convincing fashion taking the pro set 8-0. Corey St. Louis partnered with Kelly Byrnes to earn another 8-0 point in the third slot.
MCLA took the second doubles match behind another strong showing from Danielle Wiencek and Rebecca Waterhouse. They won the set 8-5 giving the Trailblazers their lone point.
All of the singles matches were won in straight sets for WNE with Mustafe, Glantz, St. Louis, and Michele Maglluto earning points.
The Trailblazers are back in action on Thursday when they host Sage.
