Tennis drops tough 5-4 decision to NAC foe Johnson State
Rebecca Waterhouse earned a pair of points in MCLA's tough 5-4 setback at the hands of Johnson State.
Johnson, VT- The MCLA Trailblazers fell to 1-11 this afternoon in dropping a hard fought 5-4 decision at the hands of Johnson State this afternoon. The Trailblazers will wrap up their season tomorrow when they host Colby Sawyer at Berkshire West at 3:30.
The Trailblazers got off to a solid start winning two of the three doubles matches. Rebecca Waterhouse teamed with Danielle Wiencek to grab a point 8-5. Ama Adwetewa Badu and Shelby Gauthier also earned a win claiming the third doubles match 8-6.
The Badgers would make their comeback in singles though, using wins from the top three slots to claim the win. Waterhouse earned her second point of the day in the fourth slot, while Kylie Dumas earned the other point out of the sixth slot.
