Volleyball selected fifth in MASCAC preseason poll

2013 MASCAC Volleyball Preseason Poll

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's Volleyball team was selected to finish fifth in the recently released MASCAC preseason poll.  The Framingham State Rams were tabbed as the preseason favorites after collecting five first place votes.

MCLA qualified for the postseason tournament a year ago before falling to Westfield State in the Quarterfinal round.  The Trailblazers, under the direction of Amanda Beckwith, will get things underway next Friday.  MCLA ended the poll with 19 points.

Framingham topped the list with 47 points followed by Bridgewater State and Westfield State with 39.  Worcester was fourth with 26 points, while Salem State was tied with MCLA in fifth.  Mass. Maritime rounded out the poll with 7 points.
