Volleyball announces fall schedule, opens up play Sept. 1st
The MCLA Volleyball program has announced their 2021 Schedule which begins on September 1st!
North Adams, MA-- The MCLA Volleyball program has announced a 24 game schedule that is set to kick off on September 1st. The Trailblazers are back after a full year off during the pandemic. MCLA opens up play on the road at Mount Holyoke.
The Trailblazers step foot in the Amsler Campus Center on Labor Day with a tilt against NVU-Johnson while the following day they head to Bay Path for a non league matchup. MCLA then plays seven of their next eight games at home. The stretch begins with a four match homestand that includes Norwich and Utica in a tri-match before hosting MASCAC foe Framingham State on September 14th. MCLA wraps up the homestand with a game with SUNY-Delhi.
A road match at Curry is next, but then the Trailblazers return for three more home matches featuring New England College, Mass. Maritime, and Trinity (CT).
Over the next five weeks, MCLA will be road weary as they begin their toughest stretch of the season. Six straight road matches begin with Fitchburg State before MCLA heads to the Skidmore tournament for three games. A non league matchup with Nichols precedes a conference matchup with Worcester State.
The Trailblazers compete in their final two home matches on October 14th (Sage) and 16th (Salem State) before they close with five straight on the road. MCLA battles Westfield, UMass-Dartmouth, Castleton, Cobleskill, and Bridgewater to close out the regular season.
