Garber selected as the MASCAC Player of the Week

North Adams, MA- Last season's Rookie of the Year picked up right where she left off as MCLA's sophomore Right Side Hitter Chloie Garber (Eagle River, AK) has been selected as this season's first Massachusetts College State Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week.

Framingham State's first year Setter Stella Bailey (Wrentham, MA) was named Rookie of the Week.

Averaging over 15 kills, nearly 11 digs and 2.3 service aces, Garber led the Trailblazers to a 2-1 opening week. In the 3-2 win over SUNY-Delhi Garber finished with 19 kills, 12 digs and six assists. The sophomore added another 17 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 setback to Alfred State College and ended the week with 11 kills, 11 digs and two aces in a 3-1 win over Cazenovia College.

Garber and the Trailblazers will make their home debut this Wednesday at 7:00 PM against Mount Holyoke.
