Volleyball receives 2023 USMC/AVCA Academic Award

2023 AVCA/USMC Team Academic Award Release

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— The United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AMCA) announced today that 1,333 collegiate and high school volleyball teams, including the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), have earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award this past season.

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

Nine MCLA players earned a spot on the Dean's List in the Spring semester with five earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average. As a team, the Trailblazers finished with an impressive 3.67 GPA.
