UTICA, N.Y.— The MCLA Volleyball team took to the road this afternoon, traveling to Utica University for a non-conference matchup with the Pioneers at the Harold T. Clark Athletic Center.

THE BASICS:

  • Series History: The all-time series is tied at 2-2, including a 3-2 win by MCLA in their last meeting on September 11, 2021. The teams first met in 2001.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Trailblazers' Elizabeth Brown (Lee, MA) tied with the Pioneers' Jada Anthony and Megan Wright with a game-high eight kills. Chloie Garber (Eagle River, AK) was one off the pace with seven kills for the visitors.
  • MCLA's Garber and Ezmeralda Albright (Loves Park, IL) finished with a team-high 16 digs apiece. Both trailed only Utica's Cassi Wageman, who recorded a game-high 19 digs.
  • Shannon O'Brien (Unionville, CT) led the Trailblazers with 15 assists, trailing only the Pioneers' Lauren Jones, who recorded 28 of her team's 29 assists.

UP NEXT:

On Wednesday, MCLA will be back in action when they play host to Vermont State-Castleton for a non-conference matchup with the Spartans at the Amsler Campus Center Gym. The match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
