Volleyball suffers 3-0 loss to Utica
The MCLA Volleyball team fell this evening in straight sets to Utica University.

UTICA, N.Y.— The MCLA Volleyball team took to the road this afternoon, traveling to Utica University for a non-conference matchup with the Pioneers at the Harold T. Clark Athletic Center.

- Series History: The all-time series is tied at 2-2, including a 3-2 win by MCLA in their last meeting on September 11, 2021. The teams first met in 2001.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Trailblazers' Elizabeth Brown (Lee, MA) tied with the Pioneers' Jada Anthony and Megan Wright with a game-high eight kills. Chloie Garber (Eagle River, AK) was one off the pace with seven kills for the visitors.
- MCLA's Garber and Ezmeralda Albright (Loves Park, IL) finished with a team-high 16 digs apiece. Both trailed only Utica's Cassi Wageman, who recorded a game-high 19 digs.
- Shannon O'Brien (Unionville, CT) led the Trailblazers with 15 assists, trailing only the Pioneers' Lauren Jones, who recorded 28 of her team's 29 assists.

On Wednesday, MCLA will be back in action when they play host to Vermont State-Castleton for a non-conference matchup with the Spartans at the Amsler Campus Center Gym. The match is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
