Albright Earns Third Straight MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week Award
MCLA’s Ezmeralda Albright has been named as the MASCAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass- Ezmeralda Albright (Loves Park, IL) has been named as the MASCAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the third straight week and fourth time this season. She joins Westfield State's Sydney Cummins (Nicholasville, KY) as the league's other weekly award winner who claimed both Player and Rookie of the Week.
Albright amassed 70 digs averaging 5.00 digs per set helping MCLA to go 2-2 last week. The senior libero had 13 digs (4.33 per set) in a conference setback against Bridgewater State, 14 digs (4.33 per set) in a non-conference sweep over Albertus Magnus and a combined 43 digs in a tri-match at Mt St. Mary (NY) against which she had 32 digs (8.00 per set) in the Trailblazers' 3-1 win.
Albright and the Trailblazers will celebrate senior day and wrap up their regular season this Saturday at 1pm when they host Worcester State in an all-important match for postseason tournament seeding.
