MCLA Women finish 8th at Smith Invitational

Wellesley placed five runners in the top twelve to win the women's race today on Smith's 5k course.

Northampton, MA- Wellesley placed five runners in the top twelve to win the women's race today on Smith's 5k course. Smith senior Anna Cressotti (Southampton, MA) was the individual race winner.

Cressotti crossed the finish line in 19:43.98. The top finisher for MCLA was junior Amelia Cahilane (Hatfield, MA). Cahilane finished 23^rd out of 125 with a time of 22:00.06.

Wellesley won the women's race with 38 points followed by Coast Guard (59), Smith (60), Westfield State (64), Mount Holyoke (140), Clark (181), Norwich (221), MCLA (231), Saint Joseph (278) and New England College (286).

The Trailblazers cross country team will next be in action September 26^th at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College.
