Women’s Cross Country Places Third at Orchard Opener

The MCLA Women’s Cross Country team finished in third place in the Orchard Opener at Indian River Farm.

ALTAMONT, New York— The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Women's Cross Country team finished in third-place Saturday in the Albany College of Pharmacy (ACP) Orchard Opener held at Indian River Farm.

Host ACP took the team title with 18 points and KKTC's Kenendy Korzen claimed the individual crown with a 19:40.5 time in the 5k event. Rozene Sabeti-Seidel was MCLA's top finisher in 13th place with a time of 25:50.8.

Belle Wurmser, Kaitlyn O'Brien, Kiera Grom, Milena Monell, Allee George, Miranda Ranzoni and Emma Belmonte all had strong performances helping the Trailblazers to the 74-point 3rd place finish.

MCLA will compete next at the Blazer Classic at Chicopee State Park hosted by Elms College on Saturday, September 13th.
