Men’s Hockey Fall at Hiram College
MCLA dropped a non-conference game on the road at Hiram College this afternoon.
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – The MCLA Men's Hockey team wrapped up a two game series with Hiram College at the Pond - Ice Rink & Sports Complex. MCLA held the Terriers scoreless on seven power plays, but Hiram College's Anthony Arthurs recorded his programs first ever hat trick to lead the home team to a 4-0 win.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
- Hiram College's Anthony Arthurs scored one goal in each period to record the freshman program's first ever hat trick. The first period goal was scored at 3:02 of the first period and was assisted by Cole Mitchell. The second was scored at 4:16 of the second period and was unassisted, and the third was an unassisted empty netter at 15:25 of the third period.
- MCLA did enjoy a 38-20 edge in shots on net.
- The Terriers Ian Amaranto recorded 38 saves to secure the program's first win and improved to 1-1-0 on the season. The Trailblazers' sophomore goalie Josh Girard (Clifton, ME / Walpole Express) fell to 0-1-1 after stopping 16 of 19 shots.
- MCLA's junior forward Cade Herrera (Brentwood, CA / Seahawks H.C) led all players with six shots on net.
- Trailblazers' junior forward Charlie Addesa (Andover, MA / Worcester Railers) won 17 of 20 faceoffs for the road team.
