Brierley, Polkowski, Claim NAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors
MCLA’s Neal Brierley and Quentan Polkowski have been named as the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player and Defensive Player of the Week.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass.— Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Men's Lacrosse teammates Neal Brierley (North Adams, MA / Drury) and Quentan Polkowski (Marcellus, NY / Marcellus) have been named as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Lacrosse Player and Defensive Player of the Week as announced earlier today by the league.
The duo helped lead MCLA to their first NAC win of the season with an 11-9 victory over visiting SUNY Cobleskill to keep the Trailblazers' post-season hopes alive heading into the final week of the regular season.
Brierley, a sophomore attacker, scored 5 goals along with an assist and collected five groundballs while Polkowski, a freshman goalkeeper, made 28 saves on 37 shots on goal resulting in a 75.7 save percentage in the contest.
Brierley, Polkowski and the rest of the MCLA Men's Lacrosse team are back in action this Saturday at 12pm when they host league rival Husson University in both teams' regular season finale which will decide the final spot in the 2025 North Atlantic Conference play-off tournament.
