Lacrosse Drop Road Match at SUNY Delhi
MCLA fell in NAC play this afternoon.
DELHI, N.Y. – The MCLA Lacrosse team took to the road this afternoon in search of their first NAC win of the season, heading west to Neil Riddell Field on the campus of SUNY Delhi. The Broncos would be less than hospitable hosts, keeping the Trailblazers off the scoreboard for the first 53 minutes and a half minutes. Neal Brierley would come away with MCLA's lone goal as they fell on the road 21-1.
THE BASICS:
- Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
- Score: MCLA 1, SUNY Delhi 21
- Records: MCLA Trailblazers 4-5 (NAC 0-3) | SUNY Delhi Broncos 4-7 (NAC 1-2)
- Series History: SUNY Delhi leads the all-time series 5-0. The Broncos took the meeting of the teams last season by the score of 20-6 on April 9, 2025 in North Adams. Delhi was also victorious in the first-ever meeting of teams on April 1, 2022 in North Adams by the score of 13-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delhi set the tone early, scoring 11 goals in the first quarter and four more in the second to take a 15-0 lead into the intermission. In the first half, the home team outshot their traveling counter parts 22-0 and 23-1 in the first half.
- The third quarter would see the Broncos begin to take their foot off the gas, scoring only three goals on 11 shots, followed by three more on nine shots in the fourth quarter.
- Delhi was paced by four goals from Anthony McLaughlin and three goals by Jagger Beachak. Kyle Moore, Chris Lazazzaro, and Kashieve Francis rounded out the multi-goal scorers, with two each, while Colton Feinberg, Christopher DiBiccari, Austin Randolph, Nate Doyle, Shane VonKampen, Jesse Hagen, John Batelic, and Christian Seebach added on a piece. Lazazzaro led all players with seven assists.
- MCLA posted their lone goal in the fourth quarter when Neal Brierley (North Adams, MA) (UP, 6:27 remaining in the 4th quarter, assisted by Lewis) made the most of a man-up opportunity, accepting a feed from Carson Lewis (Barre, VT) and finding the back of the cage. The goal was the 16th of the season for Brierley and was a return to the scorer's column. The junior attacker had been held goalless in the Trailblazers' matchup with Maine Maritime after having scored in all seven of MCLA's games this season. The assist was Lewis' eighth of the season.
- Jayden Messina stopped the only shot he faced in the first half, improving his record to 4-7. Quentan Polkowski (Marcellus, NY) made 28 saves but still dropped to 4-5.
