Women’s Hockey Fall to AMCATs on the Road
MCLA dropped a MASCAC game this evening.
WORCESTER, Mass. – The MCLA Women's Ice Hockey team took to the highway this evening traveling to the Buffone Arena for a MASCAC matchup with the Anna Maria College AMCATs. Mia Provenzo scored twice while Alexandra Petersen provided four assists in the home team's 7-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anna Maria kept MCLA's junior goalie Kaitlyn O'Brien (Ridley Park, PA / Philadelphia Jr. Flyers) busy, peppering her with 40 shots total. The AMCATs held a 17-3 edge in shots in the first period, 12-5 in the second, and 11-2 in the third.
- AMC put up three goals in the first period, the first by Aliana Gibson (1:50 of 1st period, assisted by Morgan Daly). The second and third came on power plays was scored by Jada Kosowan (15:22, Petersen) and Alexandra Petersen (16:50, Ceilia Nolan & Bennett).
- The AMCATs added three more goals in the second period. The first two were credited to Mia Provenzo (1:55 of 2nd period, assisted by Petersen) and (6:36, Petersen and Tessa Henry). The third was by Camryn Beauvais (6:51, Petersen & Marianna Recica-Sullivan).
- There was a single goal in the third period, scored by Quinn Bennett (2:22 of 3rd period, assisted by Kylee Riscoe & Nolan).
- Anna Maria's Emma Brewer stopped all 10 shots she faced to improve her record to 2-2-1 on the year. O'Brien took the loss for the Trailblazers, falling to 0-5-0 while stopping 33 shots.
