Volleyball Drop a Pair at Tri-match with Suffolk & Nichols
MCLA Volleyball fell in a pair of matches at Nichols College tri-meet.
DUDLEY, Mass. — The MCLA Volleyball team traveled to Nichols College this afternoon for a tri-match with the Bison and the Suffolk College Rams at the Nichols Athletic Center. Kaelynn Greeley had 25 kills in four sets across two matches, but the Trailblazers fell in both.
MATCH #1:

- Score: Suffolk 3, MCLA 1
- Records: Suffolk University Rams 8-14 (CNE 2-3) | MCLA Trailblazers 14-5 (MASCAC 4-1)
- Series History: Suffolk leads the all-time series between the teams 3-1. MCLA won the last meeting of the teams 3-0 on October 18, 2000, in North Adams. Suffolk took the first ever meeting of the teams 3-0 on October 10, 1998, in North Adams.
HOW IT WENT DOWN (Game #1)
- MCLA took the first set 25-23 led by five kills from Elizabeth Brown (Lee, MA). The set included three ties and three lead changes.
- The Rams rallied back to take the next three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-17.
- The Trailblazers' Kaelynn Greeley (Corona, CA) finished the match with a match-high 13 kills, one more than Suffolk's Emily Norgrove and Chloe Clement's 12 each.

HOW IT HAPPENED (Game #2)
- Nichols won the final match of the afternoon, sweeping three straight sets by scores of 27-25, 25-15, and 25-20.
- The first set was the most competitive of the match, including seven ties and four lead changes.
- Greeley had a match-high 12 kills, including six in the third set and five in the first.
- The Bisons' Ruby St. Onge had a match high 30 assists while the Trailblazers' Beth Harris (San Antonio, TX) led all players with 15 digs.
