The Sage Colleges men's golf team hosted the 2010 Sage Invitational at Sycamore Country Club on Saturday.
MCLA finished fourth in the MASCAC Golf Championships held yesterday at Blackstone Valley Golf Club. The Trailblazers were led by Shane Ortega's seventh place finish as he carded an 80.
Paced by an 80 from sophomore Shane Ortega, MCLA finished in a tie for 9th at the WNEC invitational. Ortega's round was good enough for a 20th place finish.
The MCLA Golf team wrapped up its fall season as they competed in the New England Intercollegiate Golf Championships. The 36 hole event concluded Tuesday at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, MA.
Shane Ortega fired a 76 to claim medalist honors in leading MCLA over Westfield at Tekoa Country Club. It was Ortega first win of the season.
Sophomore Shane Ortega finished second this afternoon carding a 5 over par 75 at Rutland Country Club. MCLA finished third in the event.
Sophomore Shane Ortega finished seventh while freshman teammate Sean Cota finished in eleventh as the golf team earned a 7th place finish at the Blazer Invitational this afternoon hosted by Elms college.
Led by freshman Sean Cota's 78, MCLA finished second in the MCLA invitational this afternoon at Waubeeka Golf Links. Cota finished third in the individual competition.
The MCLA Men's golf team will open its fall schedule with a one day event in the Utica College Fall Invitational on Sunday September 6th at the Valley View Golf Course.
The MCLA golf team is currently in seventh place after the first round of the Tim Brown Invitational at Saratoga National Golf Club. Skidmore College is the host institution. MCLA will complete the 36 hole event Monday.
The MCLA golf team finished up play in the Tim Brown Invitational hosted by Skidmore College on Monday. MCLA was paced by Sophomore Shane Ortega who posted a two day score of 158.
The MCLA golf team finished fourth today in the Utica College invitational. MCLA finished with a total of 326. Castleton State won the 18 hole event with a 311 total.
Sophomore Shane Ortega carded a two day total of 153, good for a top 25 finish in the Williams Invitational. Ortega opened with a 77, and finished up with a 76.
