Lacrosse Ends Successful Season with Win Over AMC on Senior Day
Anthony Andolina and Neal Brierley each scored four goals in MCLA's win on Senior Day.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The MCLA Lacrosse team closed out the most successful season in program history with a win over Anna Maria College. Anthony Andolina and Neal Brierley each scored four goals and added two assists to power the Trailblazers to a 13-8 win on senior day.

- Series History: Anna Maria leads the all-time series 2-1. The AMCATs won the most recent meeting of the teams last season by the score of 9-2 on March 4, 2025, in Paxton. AMC also won the first-ever meeting of the teams 20-13 in North Adams on March 2, 2024.
THE BASICS:
Before the first game, the Trailblazers recognized the Lacrosse program's graduating class as part of their senior day celebration. Josh Hemstock (Amity, CT), Peter Holbrook (Northampton, MA), Logan Leja (Adams, MA), Anthony Andolina (Ballston Spa, NY), and James Julian (Leominster, MA) were honored by coaches, teammates, family members, and fans for their time with the lacrosse program. Although their time with the program may end, they will forever be a part of the MCLA family.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The teams traded the lead back and forth for the first 30 minutes of play with the AMCATs leading 4-3 after the first quarter, and the Trailblazers leading 5-4 at the intermission.
- MCLA's Andolina (12:35 remaining in the first quarter, assisted by Kranz) opened the scoring less than two and a half minutes into the game, looking to continue his hot streak after scoring 11 goals on Thursday at Mitchell College.
- AMC's Miles Cormier (10:42, Hart & 9:27, Brecken Veara) would respond with the next two goals. Mark Mageles (Denmark, ME) (8:51, unassisted) and Ty Roadcap (Troy, NY) (7:50, Andolina) ripped the lead back for the home team. The goals were the first and tenth of the season for Mageles and Roadcap.
- The AMCATs then pulled the lead for what would be the last time to close out the first quarter on goals by Eric Farrell (2:09, unassisted) and Cormier (0:28, Kyle Pickering).
- The Trailblazers posted the only two scores in the second quarter, despite having been outshot by AMC 12-10. The home team goals were scored by Neal Brierley (North Adams, MA) (11:48 remaining in the second quarter, Roadcap) and Andolina (9:09, unassisted).
- Farrell (14:47 remaining in the third quarter, Nash Sicari-Swinimer) evened the score only 13 seconds into the second half before MCLA scored the next four goals and five of the next six. Brierley (13:44, unassisted & 11:55, Andolina) scored two, while Ashton Morris (Gansevoort, NY) (12:54, Roadcap) and Hemstock (11:08, Brierley). The goal was the first of the season for Morris. After another Farrell goal (10:02, unassisted & 7:50, unassisted) were on either side of another Brierley (8:45, Roadcap) goal, closing out the third quarter and sending the home team into the final quarter ahead 10-7.
- The Trailblazers would score three of the four goals in the final quarter with Hemstock (14:36 remaining in the fourth quarter) and Andolina (9:16, Brierley & 3:28, unassisted) scoring for the home team Carter Hart for AMC. The goals would bring the season totals for Hemstock to eight goals and five assists, Brierley to 25 goals and 14 assists, and Andolina to 42 goals and 11 assists.
- Quentan Polkowski (Marcellus, NY) earned the win for MCLA, stopping 22 of 30 shots and improving his record to 6-6 for the season. Tyler Davidson recorded 18 saves but still fell to 1-13.
