MCLA selected fifth in Men's Soccer Preseason poll
The MCLA Men's Soccer program was voted to finish fifth in a vote conducted by the leagues coaches. The Trailblazers, under the direction of Adam Hildabrand, will open play on Saturday September 4th, when they travel to Western Connecticut State.
Buzzards Bay, MA- The MCLA Men's Soccer team was chosen to finish fifth in the MASCAC preseason poll as announced by the league offices this morning. MCLA finished last season with a mark of 8-6-2. Bridgewater State was selected as the preseason favorite to win the league title.
The Trailblazers, under the direction of fourth year head coach Adam Hildabrand, open up the 2010 season with a road contest at Western Connecticut State on September 4th. Hildabrand's crew returns a host of players from the 2009 team that saw significant game action. Leading the way is sophomore Jake McCall, who tallied a team best 15 points as a freshmen in 2009.
MCLA will open the MASCAC slate with another road game at Worcester State on September 18th. The Trailblazers will play four MASCAC foes at home throughout the season. They will welcome Mass Maritime Academy, Framingham State, Westfield State, and Bridgewater State to Shewcraft Field all during the month of October.
