Wehner named MASCAC Co-Player of the Week
MCLA's Jen Wehner was named MASCAC Player of the week, sharing the honor with Amy Fahey of Fitchburg State.
Buzzards Bay, MA- MCLA senior forward Jen Wehner was named the MASCAC Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Amy Fahey of Fitchburg State. It is the first honor for Wehner this season, who joins teammate Lucy Tremblay as recipients this season.
Wehner averaged 15.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 5 blocks on the week. She had her best outing of the season by collecting 19 points and 13 rebounds in Friday's setback to Hartwick. She notched 10 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 blocks in a win over Union (NY). Wehner began the week by scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 boards in a convincing win over Johnson State. Wehner also became MCLA's all time leading rebounder this week.
Wehner, who was a D-III News Preseason All American, is no stranger to the player of the week honor having taking home the award five times last season.
MCLA wraps up semester play on Wednesday evening when they host Smith College at 7pm.
