Wehner repeats as MASCAC Player of the Week
MCLA Senior Jen Wehner was a repeat selection as MASCAC player of the week. It's the 4th time she has garnered the award this season.
North Adams, MA- Trailblazer senior forward Jen Wehner has been named the MASCAC player of the week. She is a repeat selection having won the honor a week ago. This time, Wehner shares the honor with Madeliene Park of Framingham State. It is the fourth time Wehner has garnered the selection this season.
The Cooperstown, NY native has picked up her play of late. She finished the week averaging 21.3 points, 17.6 rebounds, and 5 blocks in a 2-1 week for MCLA. She had double doubles in all three contests. Her best night was a 21 point-20 rebound performance in a loss to Framingham State on Thursday. She would follow that up with a 24 point, 10 rebound, 7 block effort in a convincing win over Fitchburg State on Saturday.
Wehner is currently second in the league in both scoring and rebounding. Her season totals have her at 17 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game. She leads the MASCAC in both shooting percentage and blocked shots.
Wehner and the Trailblazers host Bridgewater State in a key MASCAC matchup on Wednesday at 5:30pm.
