NEWBA Player of the Week release

North Adams, MA- MCLA senior forward Jen Wehner has been named the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) player of the week.  Yesterday she collected the MASCAC player of the week honor for the fifth time.

Wehner averaged a double double of 25 points and 13.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for MCLA.  She was at her best on Saturday, posting a season high 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 steals in a win over Framingham State.

Wehner and the Trailblazers have a pair of road tilts remaining, beginning tomorrow night at Fitchburg State University.  MCLA is currently tied for second place in the MASCAC with Salem State.
