Wehner completes trifecta with ECAC Player of the Week award
MCLA forward Jen Wehner was named the ECAC Player of the Week, completing a trifecta after earning MASCAC and NEWBA honors.
North Adams, MA- MCLA senior forward Jen Wehner completed an individual trifecta after being named the ECAC Player of the Week on Tuesday. The award comes on the heels of Wehner being named the MASCAC and NEWBA player of the week earlier.
Wehner collects her second ECAC player of the week award after averaging 25.0 points and 13.5 rebounds in two MCLA victories last week. The senior scored 21 points and pulled down 13 boards in a 72-70 victory at Westfield State before putting up an impressive 29 points and 14 rebounds in an 80-67 win over Framingham State. Wehner shot a dazzling 77 percent (20-26) from the field on the week.
Wehner was also named ECAC Player of the Week back on December 14th. Wehner and the Trailblazers will battle conference foe, Fitchburg State University tonight at 5:30pm.
