Tietgens headlines four Trailblazers on All Conference Team
Junior forward Jess Tietgens, Senior captain Jade Prickett, Sophomore keeper Jen Wehner, and junior forward Danielle Parenteau were named to the All MASCAC team today.
The MCLA Women's Soccer team was well represented when the MASCAC announced the 2009 All Conference selections. Three Trailblazers were named to the first team, while another was selected to the second team.
Scoring machine Jess Tietgens (Stamford, VT) earned first team honors for the second time in her storied career. She tallied 22 goals and 49 points, both were best in the league. She set the all time scoring record for goals in a career and also tallied her 100th career point this season.
Joining Tietgens on the first team was senior captain Jade Prickett (Westhampton, MA). Prickett notched two goals while adding a team high eight assists. She was the centerpiece of the midfield for the Trailblazers this season.
Sophomore Jen Wehner (Cooperstown, NY) earned first team honors in her first full season in net for MCLA. Wehner posted a record of 11-4 this season with an impressive 0.83 goals against average.
Earning second team honors this season was junior forward Danielle Parenteau (Southampton, MA). Parenteau returned from a wrist injury to score a pair of goals and added some scoring punch up front with Tietgens.
